Hw summary
Today we found out where Jocasta ran away to. She ran away to her room and broke down from the horrors and calamities of her life and hung herself in her bedroom. Oedipus sees the horrifying sight of his wife/mom dangling with her neck tied around a rope. He was so disturbed and devistated from the loss of basically the only person he has left he gouges out his eyes with brooches. Thus this action fulfilled the prophecy of Terisias saying that he will end up blind and alone.

So in a way, all the prophecies become fulfilled by the characters and we audience members have to sit and watch the sadness unfold.
